COM Breaks Ground on New Facilities at the Indian Valley Organic Farm & Garden
The Indian Valley Organic Farm & Garden is growing! On May 1, 2018, the College of Marin held an official groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the commencement of new construction projects at the Indian Valley Campus!
The expanded facilities will provide more space to hospitality and environmental landscaping educational programs, greatly enhancing the availability of career education classes. The facilities will include a demonstration kitchen, classrooms, offices and restrooms at the Indian Valley Organic Farm & Garden.

We’re thrilled to have Heather Rahman as the new Workforce & Partnership Program Specialist for COM’s Career and Technical Education Department.
With over 10+ years of experience in recruitment coordinating, customer service and administrative work, Heather has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Texas.

College of Marin’s Career Education ‘Stars’ Earn Statewide Recognition
COM’s silver star award-winning programs include all three health care occupations with students/graduates achieving notable successes:
-Medical Assisting: 100% are employed in a job similar to their field of study, with 129% increase in earnings
-Registered Nursing: 76% attained the regional living wage and 90% are employed in a job similar to their field of study
-Dental Assisting: 91% of students attained the regional living wage, with 164% increase in earnings

Announcing six summer Career Academies for High School Students! Free academies, most with credits to get students started early.
