The Career and Technical Education/Workforce Department is delighted to introduce the new Program Coordinator of Workforce Projects Kathleen Antokhin.
“Joining the College of Marin community and, specifically, the CTE/Workforce team is an exciting new opportunity for me,” Kathleen said. “In this area of higher education, I have the opportunity to support the life-changing goals and career aspirations of students not only through close partnerships with COM faculty and staff, but with people and organizations in Marin and the wider North Bay region. I’m thrilled to be here.”
Kathleen comes to COM from the University of San Francisco (USF), where she was leading a Student Services department of the Strategic Enrollment Management division. In her work at USF, she oversaw the administration of the Federal Work Study program and the employment of students in both on and off campus employment opportunities.
After moving to Berkeley, she began an unplanned career in financial aid administration at the Graduate Theological Union. Her work in financial aid launched a 17-year career in higher education that is energized by her enthusiasm for the transformative power of education.
A native of Colorado, Kathleen says she hasn’t missed the snow since her arrival in the Bay Area in 2001. A relative newcomer to Novato, Kathleen enjoys hiking, exploring, and discovering new coffee shops with her husband, Andrei.
